1. I've always liked her..

...but it's hard for her to make herself heard over those loud mouth men! lol... By the way is Mort Kondracke on ? I like him.

2. I had a chance to meet her last fall...
at an speaking event in NY. She was just fabulous; happy to talk for nearly an hour afterward to anyone who wanted to ask her questions. I asked her why Novak still gets the time of day from anyone. She said she understands that it's surprising but that the Washington pundit crowd is very insular and he is being protected (although they seem to be getting disgusted now).

I agree with her and like her. She speaks the truth, particularly in the quote in the OP. BINGO

She is the voice of reason on McLaughlin...

3. I love Eleanor!
She is the premier voice of reason on this show currently. I feel very sorry for her, having to sit there with Pat Buchanan and Tony Blankley. That must really suck. I haven't made up my mind about Lawrence O'Donnell yet. I think Morton Kondracke isn't on anymore-I haven't seen him in a while.

4. Clift & Mort...
Clift I still like. Mort used to be good... now, he's awful. I don't know what happened to him. Probably, he got FOXed.

5. Mort's wife has a debilitating disease. I've thought that he might need
the money to help her. She has MS or Parkinsons or something like that and has had it for years. Judy Woodruff has a child that was born disabled and I wondered if her "turn" was because the medical bills were being covered by the RW or the Cables when she joined CNN and Mort joined Faux.

It's sad to think this would be the case...but maybe it is these days. After all other reporters were on the take for propaganda from the White House ...why should the "Stars" be any different.

Sad times we live in when there's only "honor among thieves."

6. In a sea...
... of media whores, Eleanor Clift is a journalist. She appears on the Diane Rehm show occasionally, and always speaks something that could well be the objective truth.

radio stations. The right wing host was telling her that he gets 90% e-mails agreeing with the Bush position on (whatever GOP point he was trying to make for that day), and she shot back "Yes, but look who your main audience base is". Even he agreed and laughed!
