Did anyone just see that gas pump on NBC's Today Show?!?!?!?!?

They were talking about record high gas prices and they showed a video clip of someone pulling the gas hose off of a pump to start pumping gas and the right-side of the pump had, or so I thought (haven't my contacts in yet):

3. WOW! That's exactly what I was thinking as we were planning evacuations

and prices were going up by the minute. They blamed decreased production in the Gulf due to the storms but I felt like there were more sinister intents at work. Station owners claimed that the trucks who came in since Cindy to deliver gas were charging more and they were passing it along. I tend to believe that.

Way to stick it to a bunch of people in crisis. F U BUSH

6. How does high prices clean up the air?

It may lessen some of the pollution going into the air, but how does it clean the pollution filled air we already have?

No one is celebrating high profits being earned by the oil speculators, especially the poor who are being hit the hardest.

8. NBC parent GE is turning on * and his high oil price policy.

High oil prices are good for the * Family and their Bosses the Caryle Group and the Saudis, but they are bad for GE.

We all saw this coming. Economy only works in balance. * has tipped the balance. Over $60 a barrel oil? Gimme a break. Somethings got to give, and it looks like GE's patience is what is giving. ]

This is not going to be pretty for *. CBS was a sitting duck compared to GE/NBC, especially since GE is thick as thieves with the Pentagon, which reportedly wants to withdraw troops from Iraq by next year (see the latest DSM). And Rove has been compromised.

Looks like * and Co. are going to be forced to do some major behind the scene negotiating and policy changing, or else NBC could well engineer a Democratic take over of Congress in 2006.
