George Bush is on the TV absolutely too much...
And the cable networks feel obligated to spread his bullshit everyday. It doesn't have to be newsworthy - most of the time it is not. He could come out and say "I'm ready to take a shit now" and they would have a roundtable afterwards to discuss whether or not he had diarrhea. These cable networks need to show a little independence and take their jobs more seriously. They are not there to promote the White House - they are there to question. Because the job of the media is to be skeptical and question those in authority.

1. Oh, silly you
the job of the media is to be skeptical and question those in authority.

The job of media is now to deliver maximum return to shareholders.

I kid you not: At one newspaper where I worked, the corporate bigwigs came to visit, gathered us all in the lobby, and began their presentation by saying exactly that.

Fortunately, that company is no longer in the newspaper business.

2. I am surprised they didn't interupt Bush to
tell us that Madonna has a headache. You hti it right on the head- they do promote the Administraion, they never question it. Didn't Reagan have something to do with this with his "Fairness in Media" act or something?

4. OMG -- that would be a dream come true!! I don't mean to wish
bad things upon people but in shrub's case, I will make an exception!!

Somehow, shrub's nervous breakdown would be Clinton's fault.

7. That was quite a popular nick for RR way back when...
Actually, IIRC, there's an audio reference made on either Woodstock or Monterray Pops.

9. Even if he doesn't have a nervous breakdown it is a good thing...

The more he is on the boob tube the more people will probably get disgusted with him.

Especially if he is on at the wrong times. Sporting events, favorite shows, etc.
