Got elected each time. The results were "fixed around the blivet** policy of winning". Look at the Ukraine. We wouldn't allow their election to stand because the results didn't fit with the exit poll data, yet, here in our "free nation" we were told that exit polls don't amtter, even though they have never been challenged as a bellweather ever before in the history of our nation.

Our party does not cater to the far left. If they did, you would never see a complaint about any elected official with a D behind their name.

Our party is made up of a great many people with a great number of philosophys. Big tent, remember?

The only "perfect" candidate is yourself. "Yourself" is the only one that agrees completely with each of your personal views on issues. What are you running for?

The problem is that our candidates pander to the few "swing" voters out there by trying to play both sides of the fence. The Democratic base gets shit upon every 4 years due to this. Bushler has no problem pandering to his base and therefore they get energized and get people out to the polls. If Gore or Kerry had given enough red meat to their base we could have delivered just as many, if not more people to the polls as the fundies did. I believe the votes are there for us, if the candidates have the balls to ask for it.

1. It's not just about abortion. It's about freedom of ones own body and life choices. We saw what they did with the Schiavo case. That was just a shot across the bow of this issue too. It is not their place to decide what is right for my life or my family. Give one inch and we have given them the war, not just the battle.

2. It's ok for blivet** to involke the fascists in his speech today but not ok for us to call an arm an arm? We need to educate those that are not young enough to remember Hitler, so that they recognize it when it is happening to them. Despots come in many costumes, and often use "mirror" logic to reflect their behavior onto others that challenge them. Google the words "Despot" and "Despotism" and see what that takes you.

3. We are obviously not privy to the "real" intelligence about Iraq. Without deciphering what was true and what was fiction with all the ugly cards of this mis-administration showing, there is no way to craft an alternative plan that could succeed. Just where does the truth lie? That old line "saw the same intelligence as me" means we only saw that part that fit the plan. Bust down the wall and then we might have a chance to make a difference. Until then, we are operating on half a piston.

4. Any republian worth his salt is hiring workers overseas. The only jobs being filled in this country by immigrants are service related that CAN'T be removed from the country, period. You can't get your lawn trimmed or your nails down in another country unless that is where your lawn and nails are. Stop the flow of jobs worth having out of this country and immigration can then be a front burner topic. IMHO, it's closing the barn door after the horses have been milked, so to speak, to even discuss that issue at this point.

5. The rich in this country made their money off the backs of those that came before or continue to sacrifice for the corporations. When companies like Enron care and give bonuses to those that do the grunt work that are equal to their theiving CEO's, then we can talk about who earned what. Giving back to those that worked so hard is a democratic principle. Most do (not all, I will admit), but greed must be stopped. Once you have enough to live well and to assure that your offspring and family can live well, how much more do you really need. Yeah, Paris Hilton EARNED her money, right? The crash was the great equalizer. Those that lived to invest another day did ok. Those that had nothing, still have nothing, comparing old money to new (Bill Gates and Oprah being the exceptions to that pop culture rule). We are consumers of things, not makers of things anymore. Many Democrats are reach, and they put their money where their mouth is quite often.
