Bill Clinton to the Supreme Court?(asked of Scott today.

Q. Scott, since President William Howard Taft became Chief Justice after his presidency, you would not rule out the President nominating former law school professor Bill Clinton to the Supreme Court, would you? And if you wouldn't, we can report that President Clinton is under consideration, can't we

Is this a reason why Bill has been so cozy with Papa Bush? I was truly wondering why politics makes such strange bedfellows.

1. They were just trying to ask a question Scottie would answer.
"is the moon made of cheese" and "will you put Clinton in office?" and "is the pope still catholic?" seem about the same category of the few safe issues for which Scottie will actually impart information.

2. Bush would have a ZERO approval rating if he
put up Clinton for that job. and I do not think bill wants it. If anything he wants the UN job.

3. LOL, Bill is not interested in that, as you say
I just think it's amusing someone asked Scotty the question.

5. I think Clinton had to surrender his license to practice law because
he lied about what he considers sex to be.

Remember? Is this just more smoke? Perhaps a planted question?

8. Seems odd that someone would bring up the question. A serious
reporter would know.

10. actually ... there is no constitutional requirement other than ...
being nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate. Otherwise, they hold their term for "good behavior" (i.e. they don't get impeached).

21. I think it was just to see if Scottie would answer a question.
Seems like even to this one he was noncommittal.

and it will ultimately be their downfall. Keep in mind Bill had a 60% approval when he left office. Hmmm...what's chimpies now? 40% if done by Faux???.

22. Our Nation
has, historically, righted itself. It did then, it will now. Hell, I've been taking Effexor since * was "elected". Granted, I'm from the "drug" generation, but I figured taking an antidep was better than moving elsewhere.
