DU this MSN Poll re: ROVE - What do you think should happen to Karl Rove
Here is the POLL url ...... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3080261/

Here is the MSNBC story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8545657/ -- I can only post 4 paragraphs. It's A VERY INTERESTING STORY, SO BE SURE AND READ IT

White House denials on Rove fall silent
Democrats call for Bush to fire adviser linked to CIA leak

Updated: 8:17 a.m. ET July 12, 2005

WASHINGTON - For the better part of two years, the word coming out of the Bush White House was that presidential adviser Karl Rove had nothing to do with the leak of a female CIA officer's identity and that whoever did would be fired.

But Bush spokesman Scott McClellan wouldn't repeat those claims Monday in the face of Rove's own lawyer, Robert Luskin, acknowledging the political operative spoke to Matthew Cooper of Time magazine, one of the reporters who disclosed Valerie Plame's name.

McClellan repeatedly said he couldn't comment because the matter is under investigation. When it was pointed out he had commented previously even though the investigation was ongoing, he responded: "I've really said all I'm going to say on it."

4. My question, exactly.....
this isn't some misdemeanor spitting on the sidewalk case we're talking about here. This is treason, there is no other definition for what he's done. Prison time is necessary.

6. That's MSM for you...
... never let a chance go by to throw a softball to the White House. I notice they didn't even include a "He should be fired" option - the most punative choice is that he should be allowed to resign, be re-hired in some new consultant capacity at tax-payer expense, and make millions on the lecture circuit. Hardly seems to match the administration's promise to fire anyone connected with blowing Plame's cover.

10. I hope we don't lose sight of Bush being ultimately responsible...
for this train wreck of a government.

Bush is perhaps going to start pointing at Rove saying, "He is the guy responsible. I relied on him, from Iraq to Social Security. Not my fault!"
