Poll question: Is The Tide Turning?
I don't know if it is, but some things I have noticed:

1) There doesn't seem to be a "hands - off" policy as far as the media & bu$h
goes, at least not like there used to be. Sories are being reported, but
not as soon as they should be.

2) The manner in which Scottie McClellan has been questioned at press
conferences recently.

3) Rovegate, and this already has started a domino effect. Our best
hope right now IMO.

4) Cruella (K. Harris) NOT being backed by this bloody, lying, stinking,
cheating, worst-ever, "administration."

5. John Conyers' efforts are being noticed (t.v. coverage, etc.) Yes, there
could be more, but let's wait & see. He is awesome!

6. Faux hiring Wesley Clark - Why would they do this? . . . THEY might
might even be preparing for the fall of the BFEE??? They don't want to
be caught with their pants down. (You never know . . .

7. George Galloway's brilliantly- delivered ass-kicking of Normie and
the bu$hies. That got covered in the media.

8. They couldn't stop the fillibister. (Yes, that could have turned our better,
but it exposed the pugs for what they are. I would have liked, yes liked,
a shutdown or something earth-shattering to have stopped Owen,
Pryor, Brown & the rest from getting in. If the "Gang of 14's "aggreement"
falls through and the nuclear-option is used in the fight for a SC judge,
well, they can start looking for new jobs, because they will have lost my
support. )

9. Bolton still isn't in. I don't think he'll get in. SI that because of his
connection to Plamegate/Rove, etc?

10. etc . . . (Add more if you want.)

1. Yes, but...
It has grown so bad that a mere turn back in the right direction won't begin to undo the damage. Promising as it is, we've got a long way to go after the turn.

That being said, I'm in for the long haul, so keep it turning!!!

We need millions of people in the streets before I believe it has turned. I am talking protests numbers that have never been seen before and a media that will report them accurately.

5. Looks like it, to me.
The once the blood is in the water, the MSM will get on board in a bigger, more noticable way. Scandal = Ratings.

6. EXACTLY!
The sleazier the Rove story seems, the more it will get covered.

10. dumping Bush
Dumping Bush isn't going to change anything. There are some serious criminal and espionage investigations that need to be done to ensure that those corporations and individuals recruiting politicians for their ends (apparently so effectively that the US military is their attack dog for hire) are brought to justice.

One major issue here is that the propaganda going around is so heavy it's (literally!) shocking to former residents of the USSR. We will know whether the problem is solved by checking whether the media is propagandizing or not, and whether elections match exit polls (which I'm sure someone will need to monitor). Those two things will quantitatively measure the influence being unduly exerted. A qualitative measure of undue influence is effective third party participation. Vulnerability to spoiler effects and gerrymandering are inherent in the electoral process, so a Condorcet voting method (CSSD, RP, CWP, etc.) is necessary to fairly assess third-party entitlement. Going parliamentary (so votes determine shares of representatives by party) with an advanced voting system instead of winner-takes-all and completely dumping the electoral college and state gerrymandering system would be even more useful than Condorcet winner-takes-all. But I don't expect much of anything to go right in these regards, so the federal government will just be a bunch of corporate whores forever.
