The end game couldn't be clearer...
The White House won't comment on Rove, Bush won't fire him, Fitzgerald won't indict him, and then the White House will declare that Rove has been exonerated. The media, of course, will affirm the White House's mantra.

And while 1750 of our young people will have died in the struggle against WMDs a man who outted a CIA operative and totally trashed her anti-WMD operation for political gain won't even lose his job.

1. lets not lose all hope just yet
lets rather try to imagine Rove as a giant anvil tied around Bushes neck while he tries to stay afloat in the rough seas of public approval. Remember that a president that no one likes doesn't get to push through his agenda.

can you say lame duck?

2. What? You thought you were living is a Democracy?
Duh... Democracy is bad, m'kay. Democracy means mob rule. You wouldn't want to be ruled by a mob, would you?

The US is a Corporate Republic, which is how it should be. Now shut up, go to work and be sure to buy lots of stuff at the mall.

6. You should be plumb honored
To work for J.B. Republican for a dollar a day, so that J.B. and his fat cat pals can live high off the hog. Work real hard, you might retire with a cheap watch when you're 95 years old. Gawd Bless America /Praise Jaysus.

14. republic my arse
This is a fascist dictatorship. If this is all going to slide, then whole Plame affair is a media circus to distract us from other goings-on. What laws passed recently?

4. I think the press may have finally grown some balls again...
If they keep up the pressure as they did yesterday at the White House briefing and today at the Prez photo op, then this will not die. I don't think the press is buying the White House mantra anymore.

Plus, the Dems finally have something concrete to work with (Bush vows to fire anyone involved in leak, Rove did the leaking). Keep up the pressure.

9. people fear bullies
until the bully is being brought down. That's what is happening here and the media is piling on because there is safety in numbers.

13. I agree, and maybe they are just damm tired
of all the corruption!!! And let's not forget how the Bush gang intimidated the media for sooooo long. Maybe they have all had enough. After all they are looking like a bunch of sheep, with little credability with the public. And I am sure they are not happy about reporters going to jail to save this stinken administrations ass!!!!

10. I hope so
I still don't trust them, they've been nothing but Bushco sycophants since Selection 2,000. It will take them a while to earn my trust back.

5. Give it some time.
It seems that the media is finally catching up to the public's opinions. I've heard "the public's right to know" several times over the last few days and I think they really mean it. At least, I hope so anyway...I haven't heard that term from the media in 5 years.

11. That's right - give up, there's no hope.
Everybody put your feet up, flip on the soap opera channel, and wolf down some bon-bons. There's nothing to see here.
