Bush Should Have Sacrificed Rove Long Ago

Consider this: If Bush had thrown Rove to the wolves two years ago, the whole bloody thing would have been finnessed and over with long before the election. It would have drowned in the Swift Water, like everything else.

But Bush is greedy and profoundly arrogant. Furthermore, he knows he is nothing without Rove to do his thinking for him. He would then be totally dependent on Cheney, which even Bush is smart enough to realize is not a good thing. Fortunately for the rest of us, Rove isn't noble enough to throw himself under the streetcar, either. If he were, he would never have thrown Valerie Plame under that streetcar.

So here we are, watching the end of another ignoble GOP bid for absolute power going down in flames that were their own fault. Anybody bring marshmallows?

that they are completely corrupt. Every last one of them. So if they throw one rat overboard, it won't make very much difference.

They're all rats. I just hope the ship doesn't have to sink to get rid of them.
