Bush Passes on Public Endorsement of Rove
By TOM RAUM, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON -President Bush passed up a chance Wednesday to express confidence in senior aide Karl Rove in a political fight over a news leak that exposed a CIA officer's identity. The lack of endorsement surprised some White House officials who had been told Bush would back his embattled friend.

SO at the least we have a media (hello we've missed you thanks for finally showing up!) that smells blood! I like the title they gave this.

2. Bush is in a "no win" situation.
He supports the traitor or he shitcans his brain. He can't win....and the longer he does nothing, the more damage it does to him and his syndicate.

3. If rove is considered damaged goods, it wouldn't surprise me to see
bush start saying "kkkarl who?"

It's "what have you done for me lately" with this bunch. If bush or cheney get even the slightest inkling that kkkarl could become a liability for THEM, kkkarl is toast.

Whatever. I'm glad this came out, and in the context it did - "...lack of endorsement surprised some White House officials..."

Could be handy in promoting dissention in the ranks. If some of those officials see what they perceive to be a lack of support, perhaps that will weaken their own resolve to remain loyal. After all, you just need one disgruntled employee... And remember what happened when W. Mark Felt became disenchanted during Watergate...

5. My prediction:
Bush will NEVER fire Rove. The only way Rove leaves the WH is when he is indicted and marched out in handcuffs. And even then, if he is let out on bail Bush will take him back with open arms.
