Poll question: Karl Rove vs. Lee Atwater
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 09:07 PM by LynneSin
Who was the biggest pondscum sucking leech of society

The Prodigy: Karl Rove

Vs.

His master: Lee Atwater

For those who aren't familiar with Atwater, he was daddy's political strategists and the one who brought you Willie Horton and Push-Polling. One of his disciples was Karl Rove. Ironically after he was diagnosised with inoperable brain cancer did he have remorse for the harm he had done

1. The irony is that everyone talks about Atwater being Roves mentor
and that's true, but Rove followed him only so far. When Atwater was terminal he asked the forgiveness of a lot of people he smeared and lied about before he died.

Guess Rove missed that class.

2. Yes, but riddle me this....
...if Atwater never had brain cancer and was facing death's door, would he have ever come out publically and show remorse for what he had done?

6. Not in a million years. Deathbed apologies don't mean SHIT to me.
He's a rotten fucker, and I hope he went to his true reward.

for most destructive figure in modern American politics? They're both real winners.

I sorta like this picture of Rove, though. Remarkable resemblance to the Brain Bug, don't you think?

4. Different attitudes.
Atwater seemed to regard politics as sport. A game! He was all for winning, and could be diabolically clever about it, but....

Rove, on the other hand, is remorselessly sadistic. IMO, of course.
