Cheney never saw Wilson's report????
That is the talking point I heard today. So who did they get their report from? Are we to believe that they only took the word from Tony Blair on Niger, without investigating on their own? Am I missing a piece here? Did they just discredit Wilson and never sent anyone else? Did they ever find anyone who would support their claim? What about all of the reports of Cheney going to the CIA so often and hounding them for evidence?

2. They don't read reports.
If one tries to leap before their eyes, they scream hysterically and run like hell. Reports have facts and that's a no-no to neocons.

3. yea, interesting talking point. If Wilson turned his report over to the
CIA and the State Deoartment, doesn't Cheney speak to any of them? Hmmm. This sounds like parsing again. "I never saw Wilson's report!" meaning he never "saw the actual report Wilson filed!"

4. Then he's guilty of incompetence.
Someone so negligent should be impeached.

5. Here's an old interview of Wilson I posted to another thread...
So maybe Cheney never saw the actual report, once it was typed up; he just had all the individual pieces that went into the report. Sounds just like Rove's story, doesn't it? It's all in the wording, folks.

"...I don't know Dick Cheney. And I must say that I take that as a badge of honor. I don't need to know Dick Cheney. I will say this about Dick Cheney. When I was in Baghdad, sending cables back, they were all signed "Wilson." And Dick Cheney as Secretary of Defense was an addressee on those most sensitive of cables. So I'm sorry that his memory is as faulty as it is with regards to me. But I'm sure his explanation would be that he is technically correct in saying that we've never shaken hands. But I don't know what he's thinking about other than he's promoting a set of justifications that quite frankly simply don't hold water. Every time he says it, he sounds a little bit less persuasive..."

6. Who is giving out the talking point that cheney didn't read it?
Is Cheney stating under oath that he didn't read it? Is is an authorized spokesperson stating it?
