Once again, only one Fox News show breaks the top 40...
It was thursady night (London Bomb) the O'reilly factor....

Other than a big breaking story, no one watches the cable news.....

Even with his big night, it was still estimated that less than one percent of the total population tunes in to Fox NEws.....

To pu things in perspective, more kids, and stoned adults, watch Sponge Bob than Fox News....

Three times as many people watched Monk

More people watch the Family Guy than Bill O'Reilly

And, this is the best, more people watch WWF on Spike than any show on Fox.....

Just thought you'd like to know......

1. but do they vote?
that's the important part. Stoned kids can't wake up to vote. Children can't vote. WWF people are to brain damaged to vote. Stoned kids are watching monk and family guy (I should know) so it is a little annoying that he gets any sort of viewership.

3. Yea but the people who watch fox have already
drank the Kool-Aid.......

I mean come on, there viewership has leveled off, they are not attracting any new viewers and unless there is a big event, they never have a show break into the top 40 for more than one night....

It's like the Washington Times....

More people read the suburban papers here in Cuyahoga County but not one pundit from their editorial page ever gets invited to any of the "round Table" discussion shows.....

9. true about the kool aid
yet they are a voting block that is consistent and considerably interested in politics. Trivialize them at your own risk.....

2. Faux News is a kool aid server
for the Bush cultists. Most people found out five years ago that it wasn't really a news channel.

4. Hiya WC...
I haven't caught any major cable network ratings, but I've heard that "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" is doing awesome as far as individual MSNBC programs go. 'Course.. they don't have any other show as popular as his - so Keith isn't going to take them to the top by himself.

Anyone have an opinion on Tucker's new show? I predict it's canceled or replaced within a year.

As far as CNN goes.. Their new programming format is dull.. dull.. DULL! :boring: Pretty peculiar timing too that they canned both of Novak's shows when they did, huh?

I don't watch Faux.. but maybe they'd have better ratings if they switched to the nightly news with Homer Simpson?

5. Hey Larissa....
I just cant watch any of it anymore....

Sometimes I think we becomse far too obsessed with the goings on at the Cable NEws NEtworks that we forget that the Newshour and The BBC broadcast are probably attracting as many, if not more combined audience share than all the Cable screamers put together.....

Were ya been...

I misse you....

8. According to TV Guide, Capital Gang was canceled, but Robert Novak...
will get his own show shortly. It earned a Jeer in next week's magazine.

10. I have been told by a credible resource, (but I can't prove this), that
people watch FAUX because the crawl is the easiest to read.

From this source, many oldsters w/hearing problems, and people in bars etc, prefer FAUX because the crawl is the thing they go by as far as the news is concerned. I have noticed that people in a popular eatery around hear, look a the screen from afar, w/no chance of hearing what is being said. so they are probably reading the crawl.

If 20% of FAUX's viewers are so inclined, then all of the talking heads lose 20% off the top. Add to that the 10-20% of people who watch for the mistakes made, and some 30-40% are lost.

When you have morons stating that Rove deserves a medal for a criminal act....the #'s should drop for the 'reverent few'.

All in all....FAUX is beyond redemption...:(
