Karl Rove and Plamegate: Smell the Fear at Free Republic
Whole thread devoted to Freepers telling each other

"I'm not scared, are you scared?"

"Me? No, IM not scared. Are YOU scared?"

"Not me. How about you?"

I should not laugh. They value their political beliefs as strongly as we value our own. However, I despise the way that they have cheered Rove and the GOP's "Ends justify the means" tactics. It is about time that they learn that the rule of law will eventually come back and bite you on the ass if you rely upon dirty tricks rather than hard work and brain power to get things done. Karl Rove has a brain, a fine brain. He could have used it to accomplish a lot. Instead, he decided to follow in the footsteps of people like Lee Atwater--despite the object lesson of Watergate. Hmmm, maybe Rove is not so smart after all. Maybe, there is a suicidal streak within him.

Once again, the Domestic Enemy Mob fails to recognize when
they are being rope-a-doped.

Rove must be enjoying this.

Yeah. Right. Karl Rove is "rope-a-doping" Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, just like George Ryan did.

2. Well, I'll laugh then
Sorry, but when a group puts Party, Power and Profit ahead of the good their country, they deserve a bit of hand wringing and grief from time to time.

4. Courageous going there.
But only 36 posts? How many so far on DU on this matter? They are in major denial as Bush looses his mind.

5. Just like the days of Kremlin-watching.
"Mr. Bush neither criticized nor defended Mr. Rove. But Mr. Rove sat directly behind him as he spoke, sending a visual signal that he remained on the job and at the president's elbow, where he has been throughout Mr. Bush's political career."

When people are so denied any government transparency that they must read the tea-leaves of who's standing where on the parapet of Lenin's tomb, then we've entered the era of totalitarianism and one-party rule. Secrecy goes hand-in-had with deep-seated corruption.

What's crystal clear is their lock-step loyalty to Party and Leader above any allegiance to law, nation, and humanity.

7. There is an interesting interview over at BuzzFlash about what the
GOP is going to do in 2006 if Rove is tied up in court somewhere. I just hope this for some, God only knows why reason Mr. Rove is in court or jail during the 2006 elections and the GOP falls apart like the cheap suite that it is.

A survey of Republicans outside Washington revealed similar concerns, though few officials were willing to go on record. "I think he should resign," said Jim Holt, a GOP state senator from Arkansas who is running for lieutenant governor. He joked, "I hope Karl Rove doesn't come gunning for me." (quote from article)

Drag a $100 bill through an Arkansas statehouse and there's no telling what you'll get...

Note to Arkansans... don't vote for Holt.

Getting better all the time. MKJ

8. I can't tell if some of these are DUers messing with them
"I thought the war in Iraq was causing a credibility problem, or was is Abu Grahib, or Gitmo, or no WMD, or what is it? I can't remember anymore."

"No NO NO it is the downing street memos !!!! I think???????"

Is that really how freeper minds work? Rove can't possibly be damaging our credibility, because we've already lost it - life is good!

10. A very real possibility: Bush knows Rove will be indicted and
probably one other will as well (6 contacts/calls were made = 6 exposures of Plame = indictments). Perhaps he is just trying to extend the facade as long as he can, knowing it is all ready to crash in . . . at least by October.
