while people like cooper testify? is he able to hear what he says? or is that kept private?

Cooper can talk about what he's said, but aside from the prosecution, lawyers aren't present.

grand juries are unconstituional in themselves.

stephanopolis gives an account of his first Grand Jury testimony and he explicitly says that the lawyers had to stay outside the court room. (Yes I just read All Too Human)
