I wouldn't mind seeing that happen. It might seriously hurt McCain in Michigan, a state that he needs to carry to win the GOP nomination. McCain is the only Republican that is unbeatable in a national election, IMO. (BTW, if Michigan goes to Republican-only, would their primary then become a caucus?)

1. A party primary is a private family decision

A primary is for members of a party to make a decision with regard to which candidate will represent it in the general election. A party priamry should not be open to the supposedly enlightened "independents" or mischief makers from other parties.

I know what their motives are here, but I agree with what the Michigan Republican Party is doing.

2. McCain is weak.

He is weak and he proved that easily when he didn't fight Bush when Bush was running his name and his military record through the mud in South Carolina. I wouldn't vote for such a weak, spineless individual since his heroic fight in Vietnam.

I don't want Republicans picking my party's candidates. There is a reason they are called party primaries.
