How many times have we heard this over and over when merely asking why Bush lied to take us into Iraq (which he did)?

Wouldn't outing a CIA agent - exposing the false corporation that had been set up as a front - in essence outing everyone she worked with at that front-company and putting in danger all of her contacts --- wouldn't that be NOT SUPPORTING THE TROOPS? How would exposing all of those covert individuals and possibly blowing their covers be HELPING the war on Terrah (terror)?

I was told so many times over that I did not support the troops --- by the very same people who now say that since Rove said "Wilson's wife" he didn't actually break the law---- BULL! If they actually even believe that themselves, then they aren't coherent enough to vote, imo!!

We need bumper stickers: SUPPORT OUR TROOPS; DON'T OUT CIA AGENTS.

People like that are operating in an alternate reality. They have vested their own identities with the identity of the GOP, and to tell them something negative about the administration is insulting.

They subconsciously utilize the very same tactics the administration does when backed into a corner. Take for instance a call Franken made to Alabama. The individual said "but Iraq has weapons of mass destruction" Franken quickly points out that Bush has backpedaled on the claim. Then the guys says... Well I didn't know that... well why do oyu want to increase taxes?

Avoidance, Mr McClellan has been using this tactic for days now. Not allowing people to photograph flag draped coffins is another.... its one tactic of perception management.

The ONLY way for some of these people will come to see the truth is if the Administrations policies are undeniably the root cause for direct suffering. Thats why you have Republican wounded soldiers switching... But the darn Administration knows this.. and thats why no pictures of coffins... no public display or commentary to spread the word... the admin makes sure that dissent is not captured with respect to their policies ... thats why town hall meetings are screened.

Furthermore, they are so entrenched in repeated faulty logic, that any spin of the logic in the other direction points to "liberalism".
