Why was this locked?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1930463

The moderator locked this due to "antiwar.com" being an unreliable source. I respectfully disagree with this action to lock this post and this assertion that antiwar.com is an unreliable source. Granted that there are op-eds that some will not agree with, but this site has a history of linking to reliable news sources and having well-thought out columns (from the right to left spectrum of politics though those who run that site are mostly liberitarians). Personally, I've been impressed with their predictions over the past three years, especially in regards to the neoconservatives (before they became well-known to the public).

On the other hand, I can understand if Emit's post was moved from LBN to General Politics as this is an opinion column...but to lock this...is not the correct course of action.

Much of what we now know to be true came from sources that the mainstream media laughs off as unreliable. Perhaps it would be better to let the posters judge the validity of the information and the value of the source. We're here to discuss our respective views and provide our own sources for them.

In terms of sheer "credibility", most main stream news sources should be looked at the same way; in terms of politics and the war, big media is the least reliable, laughingly unreliable.
