Someone just said BULLSHIT on air at CNN as L Dobbs went to Rove Story

I was listening to the Lou Dobbs Show as he intro'd a piece on Rove. The story was about the fully debunked Friday spin point about Rove being a consumer and not a leaker. As they cut away from Lou to the recorded story, I distinctly heard a female voice say "That's bullshit".

You are welcome to enjoy yourself, but if Rove is tossed off the ship, he has done his duty and Bush-Cheney and the Power-at-any-price party will steam full speed ahead and still control all three branches of government. Rove will still be only a phone call away from Bush, and loves it when people are distracted by high profile scandals. Of course he'd rather stay, but he will not lose any of his baby fat due to hunger.

I'm simply asking you to not lose sight of the larger issues: Bush-Cheney power politics, the WMD cover-up, US security, and the 2006 elections. Rove may be a stepping stone, but Impeach Bush-Cheney.

I guess I think the biggest diversion of the moment is to get caught up in celebrating that somebody said a naughty word. It doesn't mean anything. It wouldn't mean any more or less if they had said "horse feathers". It wouldn't mean any more or less if they had not been heard on network TV. It is not worth remarking over the fact that somebody said a rather unremarkable word. It doesn't lend anymore weight to the case against Rove and it certainly doesn't lend anymore weight to the case against Bush-Cheney. Maybe if it was overheard in a Bush cabinet photo-op, but this is nothing of the sort. The person who uttered it has no political power. If they have any media power, they are already exercising it.

Read the title of this thread and think about whether anybody will remember it three days or three weeks from now. I would be amused if I didn't think of Republican media analysts chuckling over the fact that "liberal" blogs are jumping because somebody said a naughty word. What a nice little distraction. They are piling on all the distractions they can, like whether saying "wife" and not saying the maiden name or the married name is "identifying" and illegal.

As far as self-destruction of Rove goes, these are early days yet, and Rove may very well survive handily. Too soon to clink the beer mugs.

Have fun, but don't get distracted or lose focus. That it all I ask.
