Is LIBBY the Source Miller is Protecting? Neo-cons Vs. the CIA
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 02:03 AM by McCamy Taylor
The stories I have read today suggest that Libby is the source that Miller is refusing to testify against and that she is the one who named Valerie Plame to Novak, which means that she must have gotten the info from Libby. Libby would have known all about PLame's job at the CIA and that what he was doing was a crime. There is no way that he can plead ignorance, as Rove can. If he arranged for the press to out Plame by name, he knew that her cover, her company's cover and the ID or all her contacts would be compromised. It was a deliberate attack on the CIA, punishment for the agency's refusal to play ball in the campaign of lies about WMD.

Is Miller being threatened or bribed into keeping quiet in order to protect the Neo-cons and Cheney? More importantly, will the CIA sit back and let the Neo-cons get away with this kind of bullcrap? L. Patrick Gray couldnt keep the FBI from getting even with Nixon. Will Porter Goss be able to keep the wrath of the CIA in check?

3. It make sense that Miller named Plame to Novak...
...that means she's protecting herself and her neocon buddies.

That's totally inconsistent with her behavior during the past several years.

She was a cheerleader for the Iraq war. Her propagandist, inaccurate NYTimes pieces were instrumental in selling the Iraq war to the public.

Her current cries, "I can't reveal my sources! The government is just too powerful!" are a bunch of disingenuous tripe. As if she's some damsel in distress, cowering from the big, bad monsters in the scary government.

Oh please!

She's a part of the "powerful government" of which she's supposedly now so terrified. She's been carrying water for the neocon bastards for years. The last thing this woman is--is afraid.

She's protecting herself and the warmongering evil of the neocons.

It's sad---because she'll never talk. She doesn't care if she's in prison. I'm sure she's chuckling to herself right now. She's paying a VERY small price for all of the harm she's done America--and she knows it.

6. Yeah, she is shileding Libby also Cheney.
"maybe jail is the place Ms. Miller knows she'll be the safest."

People in jail have accidents too.

She may not be as safe as anyone thinks. If she has the info. she could actually be in danger whether she thinks so or not. She may have outsmarted her smiley little self.
