We need to stop repeating right wing talking points in regards to WMD
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 09:08 PM by dsc
Yes, every elected person thought Iraq had WMD. Both pro war and anti war politicians of every stripe thought Saddam had some WMD. The difference between what Bush did, and what other politicians did was that Bush repeatedly claimed Saddam had nukes and very well developed programs. He then went around and gave scary speeches about mushroom clouds and drones. So stop saying that Democrats believed Saddam had WMD in an attempt to equate them with Bush.

1. Democrats didn't believe Bush would lie to them
and didn't want to believe Bush would intentionally start an unprovoked invasion.
