Mary Matalin, Mary Matalin, Where Are You????
In the July 28, 2003 issue of Weekly Standard, Fred Barnes wrote a long article about the "16 words" in the SOTU and the problems the Wilson op-ed in the Times was causing the administration. In the very last paragraph of this article he makes the following disclosure:

And there's more to come in the campaign for Bush's recovery. Congressional Republicans are joining the fight. The White House has brought back Mary Matalin, the Republican operative and ex-Cheney aide, to manage the media campaign.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/002/906dhrpb.asp?pg=1

So Mary Matalin was brought back to run the media campaign -- and the media campaign, as we all now know, was designed to discredit Joe Wilson.

Interestingly, I read where James Carville had a very uncharacteristic response to the events of the past week saying he didn't think it amounted to much. Doesn't sound like James, does it? Maybe he knows that the mother of his children is a subject in the investigation. Does anyone know if Matalin was called to testify before the Grand Jury?

8. And carville can't be in
bed with Vipers and expect to not to be riddled with Snake Venom.

He thinks this is "nothing"? carvile doesn't like our Democratic Chairman who wants to give power back to the People, either.

2. Yes, she testified
"White House press secretary Scott McClellan said yesterday that he talked to the grand jury on Friday. Mary Matalin, former counselor to Vice President Cheney, testified Jan. 23, the sources said. Adam Levine, a former White House press official, also testified Friday, the sources said."

4. Carville wouldn't want to damage the family business would he?
After all, they get the most publicity for themselves as a package deal. If she's a criminal, doesn't look good for him.

5. I think motherhood gave her power over her husband.
In every couple there's got to be one person who is stronger than the other - usually because they're not as needful of the relationship. Evidently Mary is stronger than James and we saw the result in his pathetic statements that everyone should move on from the Plame investigation to more important issues.

6. Mary and James
both became very scarce a few weeks after the subpoena's were reported in the press. James became subdued, Mary decided to raise her children.

7. I'm disappointed in Carville, but I understand
She's the mother of his kids. If she goes to prison, they get hurt. He's sweating.

But James needs to get off the tv and take a nice quiet job with some law firm or public relations shop until this whole thing is over.

9. My wife heard her and James speak in DC last month.
This was at the International Association of Business Communicators annual conference. My wife said that Matalin didn't get much of a reaction from the audience. She was the weak warm-up for the main act. Snakehead rocked the house.

It must bite her ass to forever be the second banana in that relationship.

10. Lost trust with Carvel when he came and spoke in my neck of the woods
Everything was confirmed when Carvel came to speak to
people in my town right after the 2004 election

I went to listen to this guy and realized that his motive of traveling across the country to speak to all the "Dem" supporters was to suppress the anquish of this election as being "STOLEN"

His job..........stop the rebellion and vote recounts!!!

He had an itinerary thatwas unbelievably intense and this confirmed
to me that he plays the part as a "libral" but his mission is
to suppress the masses so that the PNAC junta regime can carry on.

He is a "phoney" from the word go.

12. Washington is so filled with Reporters married to Poltical Operatives and
nepotism in the government with brothers, sisters, parents and children serving in high positions it's out of control. They gather around and protect themselves and "the people" are left out of everything. Matt Cooper's wife is Mandy Grunwald who was a Democratic political consultant and Howie Kurtz's wife is Sherri Annnis who works for a Republican PR firm and helped Schwartzenegger get elected. Senate and House member's spouses work as lobbyists for corporations and some are even employed in the company's who hire lobbyists if they aren't lobbyists themselves. Then there's the Wall St. and Banking interests with connections there into the government with children and brothers and sisters all having "conflict of interests."

Their only job when trouble brews is to protect themselves. They circle the wagons and fire out to protect themselves from the truth ever getting out.
