The White House did a tag team with reporters to leak Plame...
The way it looks to me, aides in the White House did a tag team to leak Plame. It was a conspiracy.

The way it worked is aide #1 would tell reporter #1 and leak Plame. Then aide #2 would confirm Plame to reporter #1. Aide #2 would tell reporter #2 and leak Plame. Then aide #1 would confirm.

A tag team, and a conspiracy.

Since Rove admitted the info would be declassified soon:

1. It was classified and
2. He knew it was classified.
3. The only thing he said that COULD be classified was Plame's covert status.
4. He was guilty under the IIPA.
5. He's also guilty of a number of other crimes.

The White House is going to melt-down when the indictments hit. This is as bad or worse than Nixon. However, in this case, I don't think Bush will resign - he will never willingly give up power. The impeachment may have to wait until the 'pukes get voted out in 2006, and they may have to forcibly frog march Bush out of the White House.

2. Ding, Ding, Ding! You're Exactly Right!
And of course, they acted "oh so innocent" on each of these calls.

3. and McClellan categorically denied the conspirators' involvement
asked about Rove, Libby and Abrams by name, said without qualification that they were not involved.

4. No offense, and I apologize for my tinfoil, but I doubt Bushco will leave
even in 2008. I definitely don't believe that we'll have fair elections in 2006.

5. The web making up the leak will be difficult to map...
... but I wholly agree that Rove's admission that the info would soon be declassified is huge. Also important is Rove's email communication to Libby that Cooper hadn't "taken the bait."

I expect they used a previously established leak network -- like what they'd used to rig the WMD case -- but went a step too far. And given Judy Miller's role in ginning of the WMD case, I expect she may have been one of the original leak recipients -- from either Cheney, Libby or Chalabi.
