Rovegate has reached the level of Watergate. The republicans are now lashing out desperately.

No evidence, for now, that Bush has been implicated. Possibly in the future.

5. The Watergate is a hotel. The Watergate scandal was peanuts |
|
compared to what is happening now. People seemed to have a lot more ethics and integrity back in the 70s and reacted much more strongly to even a little corruption.
To call what is happening now anything-gate is to minimize it. I personally can't stand calling anything "-gate." This is SO much bigger than Watergate. It could be called "the Treason of Rove" or something like that. It doesn't need a cutesie nickname.
