bush essentially admits that rove leaked, and that he knows it.
"If someone committed a crime, they will no longer work in my administration," he said today.

Last year, he, uh, "promised" to fire the leaker. Now he's upped the ante--any such leaker must actually be guilty of a crime.

He knows. He so knows.

1. Get this out.

"Bush ups ante in Plame Affair"

This is the sort of short news blurb that might get some traction.

3. It's a provable LIE.
There are several individuals in his adminstration who've committed crimes and been found guilty of doing so ... including Smirk himself and Cheney. DUI is a crime. Furthermore, an act is still considered a crime even after it's pardoned -- i.e. Iran/Contra.

4. This is the same
shifting tactics that Bush used before. Deflect accurate criticisms of his deceptions about Iraq by focusing on Kerry's supposed flaws. Defend invasion of Iraq by changing focus from WMDs to democracy. Apprently Bush will keep Rove and Libby in his little red wagon unti and unless they are convicted in a court of law and have exhausted all appeals and pardon opportunities. Karl Rove's leak to Cooper et al is Bush's little blue dress.

6. Right. We know that he leaked but he may not be guilty of a crime?
So he can say that now. Why did he change his story?

8. The only way he'll get away with this tactic if the people let him keep
a known traitor of the US in the WH and Bush allowed simple minor tatics get in the way of the actual crime against the US. Everyone knows Rove is a traitor and Bush is harboring him.
