White House trying desperately to get to Fitzgerald ?

It was reported yesterday that Karl Rove's atty sent a letter to Fitzgerald asking if there was anymore information that he needed? Obviously hoping ot open up a line of communication with him, to see just how strong is his Republicanism and partisanship, or if he isreally serious about all this "legal" shit? If Fitzgerald does not cooperate, then they will have no choice but to destroy him also. They will use al their friends in the media to pursue the discrediting of Mr. Fitzgerald. It's his choice.

he may not be a partisan. The GOP thought about getting him to replace Ryan as a candidate for Illinois Senate seat vacated by Peter Fitzgerald.


Some Republicans were also hoping to interest Patrick Fitzgerald (no relation to the outgoing senator), an Illinois-based U.S. attorney.

The WSJ called Fitzgerald an "unguided missle" on a witch hunt.

Clearly, the WSJ is implying that Fitzgerald is out of control.

Of course, anyone directly tied to the White House is still maintaining an appearance of repect for Fitzgerald. Under the surface, however, the White House is probably seething with contempt for Fitzgerald and his refusal to follow its script.
