Does anyone really believe that Rove's ouster
would keep him out of the chain of command?

Cosmetic only. Window dressing. How could it be otherwise?

2. I think that the embarrassment will be very hard on him. Especially since
this is the second time he's leaked to Novak and found his ass in a sling.

Hey, where's Poppy? He should be telling Junior that he's f****d up enough and let these assclowns run rampant over this country for far too long. Not that I can stand Poppy either, but he's definitely smarter that the kid. He has to want to try to salvage some kind of dignity for the family name. Even if it's all bullshit.

He'll have to be convicted to lose his job.

WASHINGTON -- President Bush said today that if anyone in his administration committed a crime in connection with the public leak of the identity of an undercover CIA operative, that person will "no longer work in my administration."

At the same time, Bush again sidestepped a question on the role of his top political adviser, Karl Rove, in the matter.

I'm sure, even if he loseshis job, as long as he stays out of jail, he could be DUH-bya's back door man.

4. Losing his credibility will! I really believe Shrub supports his
friends as long as they don't cross him or cause him trouble. Rove is causing him trouble now, and I don't think it matters that Rove's been his buddy for 20+ years, or that Shrub owes him for getting him the Presidency. If Rove becomes a problem, Shrub will dump him as quickly as he dumped Dean, Whittman, and every other member of his admin who didn't tow the line.

Shrub is an arrogant AH, and the only thing that really matters to him is HIM!

5. Rove calling the shots from behind bars would be cool.
Kind of a modern Desperado.

6. When Rove's convicted...
Will Dubya say he won't be fired 'til he gets the chair?

8. With security clearance revoked, can't single handedly betray US again.
That's good enough until the indictments come.
