Rightwing online mag blames Clinton for Delay, Rove troubles
Edited on Wed Jul-20-05 05:13 AM by wyldwolf
Must be nice to be a man out of office for over four years and STILL stike fear in the hearts of the right (and the left.)

In April, I attended a private lecture Bill Clinton gave to a small group of Democrats in New England. In the lecture, Clinton outlined a plan for how his party could take away Republican moral superiority, and take back power in Washington. He explained that Democrats must be willing to play dirty if they are going to succeed. Republicans will keep winning, Clinton explained, as long as Democrats are unwilling to go on the attack, to undermine Republicans, and to discredit their opponents.

It is in accordance with Clinton’s political calculus, then, that a campaign be formulated in which a series of Republican figureheads are brought down in scandalous moral failures. Republicans lose their moral superiority, and can no longer use it to win elections. Democrats may be no better, but they’ll be the only alternative. And perhaps, after ten years of being on the losing team, the Democrats will, once again, be able to run at least the House, the Senate, or the White House.

A likely first target for this decapitation operation is the majority leader in the house, Tom DeLay. Elected majority leader in 2002 and known in Washington as “The Hammer”, Democrats see him as a heartless sellout to special interests, while Republicans see him as an effective and strong leader.

Today we are seeing another decapitation operation unfold. This one began in 2003, when a Time magazine reporter had a secret conversation with Karl Rove. In that conversation, Rove mentioned that the wife of a former diplomat was a CIA operative. He did not tell the reporter the woman’s name, and may not have even known that she was an under-cover operative. Even the New York Times has stopped short of suggesting that Rove had committed any sort of crime. In spite of all this, both Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have pushed legislation in their sides of Congress that would strip Rove of his security clearances. MoveOn is staging protests in front of the White House demanding that he be fired. The DNC homepage accuses Rove of “revealing classified information as part of a partisan smear campaign.” It isn’t clear whether or not this is a coordinated attack, but it is certainly the Democrats’ intention to bring Rove down.

Next on the list may be Lewis Libby, Vice President Cheney’s Chief of Staff...

1. Maybe it would help if
The Pugs weren't SOOOOOO corrupt. I mean, it's like shooting fish in a barrel "undermining" them, isn't it?

2. Typical Repuke response
they never take responsibility for their own actions, and they always want a whipping boy. They hate Clinton, I think, because he was from the South, a place they want exclusively for their own. Sorry, but not everyone living here is a member of the KKK or an ignorant intolerant fundamentalist.

3. Number one............
I'm SURE this "private lecture" attended only by Democrats (and this asswipe) really took place. :eyes: I've talked to more Slug retards who always use the "I was at a private Democrat meeting"......bullshit, this event never took place.
Number two, the rest of the article is all made up as well. It's just more bullshit intended to give their fellow Slugs the red meat they require.
Yes, Republicans are the "poor victims" of these treacherous Democrats. Why, they're mere babes in the woods until, from behind a tree or bush, SPRINGS out the blood thirsty Democrats, intent on only besmirching the good, honest, civil Republicans! :eyes: PLEASE!
Like I said, the only people believing this are around the bend, full tilt whacko Slugs anyway.

4. That was my very first reaction also
Clinton just isn't like that, unfortunately. He believes that ultimately, "Democrats win when people think". Even if he did believe in Rovian dirty politics, I'm damn sure he'd only voice it in his own home with a very select group of trusted friends.
