John Edwards: Let's shake things up
If you can get to southern New Hampshire this coming Saturday afternoon, see the messages in the Mass, NH & Maine forums for the pot luck pig roast with John. Hope to see you there!

=============================================================

Received by email.

We see it in the news every week: working Americans continue to get no results from Washington. The issues that matter most - expanding health care coverage, raising the minimum wage, increasing the earned income tax credit - collect dust while Republicans push more tax breaks for the rich and a devious Social Security plan that funnels money to their friends on Wall Street.

It's clear that as long as the Republicans are in charge, working Americans cannot expect reforms to come from Washington. That's why I'm taking this battle directly to the states, and I'm asking for your help.

I call this movement "Raising the States." By supporting Democrats running for office in closely contested state legislatures, we can win more Democratic majorities across the country and ensure the passage of crucial reforms - reforms that will reduce poverty, expand educational opportunities, and make health care more affordable.

But our candidates face tough opponents and a formidable GOP fundraising machine. They need our help. With your assistance, I can travel to these candidates' states and help them raise the money and support they need to win.

There are several states with legislatures that hang in the balance. If we can tip the scales in Ohio, South Carolina, Michigan, and others, we can deliver much-needed reforms to working Americans - and we can take a huge step toward strengthening our party nationwide. We don't need to wait for change in Washington; if you help me Raise the States, we can empower fellow Democrats and deliver much-need reforms now.

Over the past few months I've supported Democratic candidates in the states mentioned above, and in the coming weeks I will travel to Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Maine, and Missouri to join many more. These visits raise thousands of dollars for our candidates' campaigns - and these visits are possible only with your support.

Help me fight for candidates who will fight for working Americans - click here to contribute.

Our candidates will fight for people who've worked hard all their lives and struggled for the opportunities that they and their families deserve, because like us these candidates believe in the American dream. And just because Republicans in Washington don't share our dream doesn't mean we can't make it a reality. Together, I know we can.

Over the next few months, you and I can shake things up in state legislatures across the country, and when we do, millions of working Americans will finally get the reforms they deserve, and our party will grow and strengthen. As I travel from state to state fighting for these causes we share, it means so much to know that you're right there with me. Thank so much for your continued support.

- John

4. Paper Ballots Hand Counted FIRST !
As long as we have the voting machines counting votes we can never win ! PBHC FIRST then they get my money. I'll keep my money secret as long as the DNC allows my vote to be counted in secret.
