Karl Rove: the real story
Karl Rove: the real story
By Garrison Keillor / Tribune Media Services, Inc.
THURSDAY, JULY 21, 2005
ST. PAUL, Minnesota Did he know?

I feel it's time for me to step forward and tell what I know about Karl Rove's conversation with columnist Robert Novak in which Novak reportedly told Rove that CIA operative Valerie Plame had been responsible for her husband Joseph Wilson going to Niger to debunk the White House's claim that Saddam Hussein was shopping for uranium in Africa to make nuclear weapons and that's why America invaded Iraq, and Rove said, "Yes, I've heard that, too." . . .

MORE...... funny stuff.......

6. I know
I was just teasin' a bit...

I think his sense of humour is just delightful. My boys think he's a "little bit weird, mom".....

I can't believe more people haven't read this his take on Rove. Nor the bit I posted about Scotty McClellan .... they are too funny...

You never know what people are going to read and respond to on here. Things I think are GREAT - no one bothers with - and stuff I think is just downright dumb - gets hundreds of responses........

8. Yup...
You said.. "Things I think are GREAT - no one bothers with - and stuff I think is just downright dumb - gets hundreds of responses"

I pondered that same thing till I was blue in the face.. :freak:

Then I finally came to the conclusion that it's first and foremost it's the HUGE news stories that have the heaviest traffic on them.

Seems though that somewhere not too far behind them is the outrageous or controversial posts, articles or comments. I figure some things that roll across are just so mind-boggling that people have a natural urge to weigh in.

Then again.. if we were a sports team.. this time of the year would be considered the "off season". When we wait around for any crumbs of info to get us through till the puck drops.. (oh, okay.. just for you.. till the soccer ball rolls ;) )

All I know is that there's just nothing like this place right before an election!! 24/7, round-the-clock non-stop FUN !! There's so many people here then, that all posts get attention.. (well.. okay, most of em anyway) :bounce: :grouphug:

Actually, we very happy that HOCKEY IS BACK! Go CANES!!

The boys would PLAY hockey if there were another few hours in the day or a couple of more days in the week. We're pretty booked as it is. They sometimes play street hockey in the culdesac when they can drag enough other kids out of their houses...

One of my boys is very unhappy - he's aged out of the local soccer team for the league we play with. I'm going to double check with the director and see if they'll let him play anyway. It's not a competitive league and he's kinda small for his age so it shouldn't really matter.

7. I love Garrison Keillor!
Been listening to him for 20 years. Still have my Raw Bits sweatshirt (although it's long since been relegated to carwash detail due to an unsightly and awkwardly positioned cigarette burn).
