Here is what makes me totally uneasy about the Rove/Plame affair....
That Bob Novak finds it within his 'comfort area' to pick up the phone and call Karl Rove to even ask him about this.
We all know it's a lie, - but, wouldn't it be sweet to have a reporter with some chutzpah to actually ask Scotty what that is all about?
To me, it portrays the familiarity between those 2 that would make Novak feel that he could 'count on Karl' to give him the straight dope! Now why would we want someone in Government with (supposedly)
top-level Security Clearance like a Karl Rove if he can't be trusted with any kind of information that he has at his fingertips?
On that alone - he should be OUSTED.

1. They have been buddies since way back.............
Poppy Bush fired Rove in the 90's, for being a leaker. And leaking to none other than Novak, how's that for in your face! These guys have a long term relationship.

5. I know! It just absolutely makes no sense. This is the most
'whacked-out' Administration that I've seen in my 55 years.
And the most 'whacked-out' public who seems to care less.:puke:

8. Why the public doesn't care
Ever hear of Imperial Rome (it followed Republican :) Rome)? Ever hear of bread and circuses? We've gone from MTV and NFL to internet porn and reality TV (is there a difference?) and fast foods.

Bread and circuses, by any name - keep the masses happy and stupid (plugged in) and you win every election.

12. I'm not going anywhere.
I like a good fight - especially for a just cause. I also don't mind watching hypocrites, liars and thieves exposed for what they are.

Declines and Falls have some great moments, and politically there are phoenixes. :)

And I should have put "win" in quotes, as in "win" every election.

3. Rove/Plame affair! You mean Karl and Valerie? Wow, this is big!
Hey, if Karl did it in the WH, then he should be impeached -- even though the chief of staff is not an impeachable officer. Finally, Rove did something that REPUBLICANS can see as a crime: an affair in the WH.

Oh, you just mean Karl's outing Plame as a CIA covert operative. Too bad! I'd hoped that it was something that could make this Congress act.

;-)

4. Maybe we'll get lucky and she become a vegetable...
We can tell them we'll put the feeding tube back in when Karl confesses.

6. I'm with you there Bud.
Say - I notice that you live in Denton. I was there a few months ago checking out Robson Ranch. What's the statistics on Dems around there?
I had the most awful urge to slap everyone I saw and had difficulty
restraining myself.
