I just noticed that I haven't seen or heard from him in a couple months, aside from a couple of reports that he had gone to the hospital for "an old knee injury" and "routine checkup".

The event will take place at the Wayzata home of former state GOP chairman Bill Cooper and will not be open to the public. Couples paying $4,200 can get their picture taken with Cheney and admission to the reception; luncheon-only tickets cost $1,000 a person. Vice President Cheney is scheduled to attend a Republican Theme Team meeting this evening, according to an e-mail sent out by the office of Republican Conference Vice Chairman Jack Kingston (R-Va.).

Neither the conference nor the vice president’s office would confirm the topic of discussion for the evening meeting.
