What You Can Do About Supreme Court Nominee Judge John G. Roberts
Urge Your Senator To Carefully Review Judge Roberts' Record!
Last night president Bush announced his nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States: John Roberts.

After an initial review of Roberts' limited judicial and legal record, PFLAG is seriously concerned about Judge Roberts' hostility to privacy rights and his ability to approach cases with an open and independent mind free from a partisan agenda.

To further increase our concern anti-gay zealots FOCUS ON THE FAMILY, FAMILY RESEARCH COUNCIL and JERRY FALWELL actively support John Roberts to a LIFETIME position on our nation's highest court!

Judge Roberts must prove to the Senate and to our families that he will protect the individual freedoms of all Americans.

If, after a thorough review of his record and his answers in the confirmation hearings, he cannot demonstrate his commitment to uphold the Supreme Court's tradition of defending the freedom of all Americans, PFLAG will oppose Judge Roberts' nomination on behalf of our families.

It is critically important that our senators take seriously their constitutional obligation of "advise and consent," and not be pressured into a rush to judgment.

Please urge your senator to carefully consider Roberts's record, background, and constitutional philosophy to ascertain his views on protecting the rights and freedoms of all Americans including our GLBT loved ones.

Our families deserve Supreme Court Justices who are fair, independent and committed to protecting our individual rights, freedoms, and legal protections!
