That SH*T Feinstein does it again
Dianne the DINO is a co-sponser on the bill to re-authorize the egregious provisions of the misnamed patriot act.

What A FUCKING useless bag of skin she is!!!

Here's what I emailed to her just now:

--------------------------------------

You are UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

You are a co-sponser on the reauthorization of the most egregious parts of the misnamed "patriot" act to allow FBI snooping on anyone they feel like, back to the days of COINTELPRO.

What part of history are you completely clueless about??? I guess it doesn't matter to you though, you're rich. You can buy your way out of any potential troubles you might get into.

The rest of us are screwed. This will open the door to all of the dirty tricks that were played by Nixon and his crowd against anyone who wouldn't toe the war party line.

Congratulations. When are you going to switch your affiliation to republican?

10. Oh bullshit. I've had guns pulled on me in court before by nutcases
Keeping weapons with multiple rounds off the street and out of the hands of people who wish to kill large quantities of people with them is REASONABLE.

Slam Feinstein for whatever you wish, but she is not the reason we lost congress in 94...you don't need 156 rounds to fucking hunt with.

I know lots of folks that after all the gun control that was passed in the early 1990's turned their back on Democrats, and have NOT looked back...

Too bad the law ONLY banned guns on their LOOKS and NOT how they functioned..

Look it up, you will find out the truth about it..

Edit, I am talking ON A NATION LEVEL, not a local one, She has cost us THOUSANDS of votes.

18. Sensible gun laws should not lose us votes. There is no more reason
to run around with 156 rounds than there is to run around with a nuke under the seat of your car.

All those people traded off the first amendment and the 3rd-27th over some fucking myth that Dems wanted to take all their guns away.

That's is pure bullshit. I realize there are some flaws with the language of the law in terms of what weapons it precludes and what it doesn't...but how fucking psychotic is it to be preoccupied with terrorism when the majority of murder in the world today still occurs as a result of small arms?

21. 20,000 gun laws
There are over 20,000 gun laws on the books; we PASSED reasonable several years ago….

I am sorry about your incident with someone with a gun in court, I wonder how many of the laws he broke WHEN HE BROUGHT HIS GUN TO THE COURT. I am certain a few more would NOT have stopped him.

And besides, I have not hunted in years, that argument is a fallacy, I own firearms to DEFEND myself and family…..

I mean seriously, do YOU need to have a 15 day waiting period to use your 1st Amendment rights????

25. Rofl...you don't even approve of a waiting period so that someone with
a criminal record cannot buy a gun? That is not even the postion of most posters down in the gun dungeon! In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a democrat claim that that particular law was unreasonable.

There are plenty of guns that shoot multiple rounds that are still perfectly legal...now tell me again why you need 156? DO you have a lot of kids? Or are you a really bad shot?

And yes, perhaps you forgot that the way Dianne Feinstein came to office as mayor was watching her good friend get murdered by a nut with a grudge and a gun.

30. LOL
I NEVER said that…..

Let me elaborate my feelings on the matter…

I feel CRIMINALS, Violent felons, to be exact, should not be allowed to own a gun.

I feel a 10 day waiting period is a joke, if you can use credit to buy something instantaneously, you should be able to buy a gun, the same way. If you are not a “prohibited person” The background check should be instantaneous too.

And beside, My Concealed carry license EXEMPTS me from all background checks, so there is another “loop hole” for Feinstein to rally against, be she knows so little about guns and gun laws, she wont know, until Brady tells her about it.

Face it, 99% of the people that own firearms, own more than one. You are NOT stopping any crimes with a waiting period.

And why the arbitrary number of 156?? None of my Semi-auto rifles hold anywhere near that many rounds.

Or is that another “pointless” feature to ban guns on, much like the bayonet lug or a pistol grip?? Or worse, a black plastic stock???

33. Conceal Carry
lets you get out of the law??? Holy shit, We NEED STRONGER LAWS!!!!

How about this for clarity.

All handguns are ILLEGAL.

All long guns that are useless for hunting or aren't solely used for target shooting and are kept under lock and key at a target shooting facility are ILLEGAL.

All bullets are taxed at $1/bullet to pay for the medical costs of "accidental" woundings by yahoos who own guns but don't know shit about firing them.

That should be clear enough for anyone.

40. I think Carville said it best: If I can wait a week for a washer,
why cannot I not wait a week for a gun?

If you are THAT TERRIFIED FOR YOUR FAMILY GET TWO LOUD BARKING WELL TRAINED DOGS!

Go to the local pound, look for some german shepherds (mixes would be fine I am sure), adopt them, take them to a training school and have them learn to deal well with your family (especially if you have children). I am sure costs the same as a stupid gun but they will warm your feet in winter, show you love every day and will rip the throat out of anyone who tries to harm your child.

Getting two makes sure that one is barking even if the other is being killed by the assaliant.

Heck one small yapping dog and one big tough dog would work just as well.

Outside of hunting, no one needs a gun in today's society. Sorry just cannot see it.

41. I am sorry
I am sorry, but dogs like that are dangerous,

I prefer not to have them around the kids, I read all the time about “dog attacks”

There is an important distinction between a dog and a gun….

A gun is an imamate object, a dog is NOT, a dog, can act on his own, and bite WHOMEVER it pleases. A gun will not on it own free will, get up, walk across the yard and shoot someone for just walking by.

You don’t understand, the 15 day waiting period (Don’t exist in Virginia anyway) is POINTLESS.

Simply because folks that own guns, own more than one. So the waiting period means NOTHING, just an pointless inconvenience…….

……….That has pushed good people away from our party

Much like the AW Ban, it did NOTHING besides get us tossed out of congress

26. Here's one link
She evidently got into bed with Specter to put together a wishy-washy version of a re-authorization. My ire was raised by a quote of her on KPFA Free Speech news this afternoon to the effect that she believed that, "we need to stop terrorists before they can attack." (as if that's possible...)

For me it was more of the same-o, same-o from this worthless slimeball:

---------------------------

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/07/13/AR2005071302113.html

"Two senior members of the Senate Judiciary Committee introduced legislation yesterday that would lead to more restrictions on the government's powers under the USA Patriot Act, setting the stage for a protracted legislative battle in coming months over the controversial anti-terrorism law.

The proposal by Sens. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) would scale back a law that the administration seeks to keep largely intact. But it also attracted immediate criticism from civil liberties advocates who say it does not adequately rein in the government's activities."

"Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), a member of the Judiciary Committee and the only senator to vote against the Patriot Act when it was approved in October 2001, said in a statement that he is "disappointed" in the bill introduced by Specter and Feinstein. "In its current form, I cannot support this bill, but I hope we can work together to improve the legislation in the coming weeks," Feingold said."

23. I recommend Maxine Waters run against her in the primary...
And for sure if she loses, she'll be able to jump back into her congressional seat even if she has to sit it out for 2 years, which is unlikely anyway. Losing the primary won't mean she won't be anything but a shoo-in for her House seat even in that same year.

And I think it's time "progressive" California prove that it can elect an African-American to a statewide race in these modern times.

I'd send her a letter but I don't really expect or want to change her mind at this point as I've given up on her. I applaud your effort but I don't think Feinstein responds to voters. I have made previous efforts to contact BOTH Feinstein and Boxer in California over issues, through e-mails and snail mail. Senator Boxer's office has responded to me EACH TIME. I NEVER got anything back from Feinstein. Zip. I think we in California have to take the steps to find a candidate to replace her.

She has all the makings of a neoconservative of the Horowitz variety. Ex liberals always make the most aggressive neocons. Look at Norm Coleman. Or Reagan. When Feinstein was governor, she was ok. Now, since becoming a member of the elitist, corrupt, zionist senate, she's slid to the right. She really is damaging to the Democratic Party.

Now Boxer on the other hand, she's an ACE.

(snip):"He is well-regarded," said Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a California Democrat who was not a member of the Gang of 14 but is an abortion rights supporter who sits on the Judiciary Committee, which will hold the confirmation hearings. "He does not appear to be an extreme ideologue. He does appear to be a mainstream conservative."

Feinstein said any judgments must await the hearings, but for now, "I don't see the extraordinary circumstance at this stage. Now something could develop, there could be some scandal, there could be some unknown. ... But he appears to me to be a very sound, bright lawyer and now appellate court judge, so I don't see the circumstances at this stage."

52. I hold Feinstein most accountable for us losing Congress in 1994.
The Assault Weapons Ban (which didn't affect assault weapons and didn't ban anything) was the single biggest legislative mistake of the last 20 years. All it served to do was galvanize the NRA and the right-wing.

The worst thing about it was the fact that as mayor of San Francisco she issued herself a concealed firearm permit...and at the time was the only person in the city who had one. What a fucking hypocrite.

58. I'm somewhat surprised to find anyone that remembers what an absolute...
scumbag she is and always has been. Banned firearms in SF and issues herself a concealed carry permit. Block prosecution of her thieving husband when he gets caught red-handed defrauding the government and students of his corporate school. The list goes on and on, but I'm tired of trying to get people to see her for what she is. Maybe we could clone Boxer? At least she is true to her rhetoric.
:grr:

55. She's declared she'll run for re-election in 2006
So California Dems better get on the stick - quickly - to find a suitable replacement for her.
