Anybody see Robert's Harvard picture on the NYT this morning?
He looked like a hip young guy, longish hair, surrounded by liberal looking guys from the early 1970's.

I just can't integrate that picture with the corporate stiff I see today.

1. Happens all the time. Some of those "hip" guys got Reagan elected.

2. you can't judge a book by its cover
even today. I know a real button down guy--a young Bob Newhart type, in fact, and he is as liberal as could be. Then I also know a long haired guy who wears t-shirts and jeans and he is a big repuke.

3. Not too hip...
... someone mentioned an interview in which one of his roommates said that he was stickler for formality and propriety, and when he was considering law schools, the interviewer from Stanford wore sandals and didn't wear a tie, so he scratched Stanford off his list.

Sounds like a perfectly anal-retentive Republican to me....
