Looking for the photo of Conyers' march to the white house gates

flanked by members of congress / congressional black caucus - I would be SO grateful if someone could provide me with a link (bookmarked, anyone?)- I'm going to see Barbara Lee this weekend and want to let her know that her actions are noted and appreciated - I thought that bringing this photo would be a great way to acknowledge her/thier efforts!

1. Ohhhh Geez...

Our newspaper (the Anchorage Daily News) had a huge section dedicated to the DSM a couple weeks ago. Page 1 was in 3/4 of the page and was full color (not Conyers) and page 3 was about 3/4 of the page, was a b&w AWESOME photo showing Conyers with his group and each of them carrying HEAVY boxes in...

I'll have to do some looking around to find the exact date.. If you Realllllly want a copy of that one, let me know and I'll ask the ADN for a duplicate copy for you.. The story covered an entire section of a Sunday paper, so they didn't have that part on their on-line version unfortunately..

Bummer! Although I thought it was great that they dedicated such a big portion of the paper to this important story! :bounce:

Thanks so much but that sounds like an awful lot of trouble - there were some excellent ones floating around DU, but the archives don't go back that far, so I was hoping that someone had been less absentminded than me and bookmarked it.
I've been to Anchorage, and other parts, land of the swarming 'dwarf hummingbirds', no see-ums and the occasional kodiak grizzly. What lovely summertime skies you have!!! I could live there one day, what with the lovely mountains and ocean and skies and all.
I'm all excited for the DSM meetings this weekend - this is a pretty liberal area so I'm hoping it's well attended.

You are such a sweetie! I'm going to use this one.....there was another that had them all walking side by side, and one of the people with him was Barbara Lee. Since that one is lost somewhere in the bytes of time, I will gladly take this one. She was there at the gates, and will appreciate the gesture.:D
