Increase recruit age limits - another conservative legacy
Thanks to cowardly conservatives who wave flags, sport magnets, blather on about how great things are going in Iraq but stay away from recruiting offices in droves, the Pentagon is now considering raising the age limit for recruitment purposes in some branches of the armed forces. The National Guard is also requesting "to expand the number of legal immigrants allowed to enlist." Not a bad idea but what a shame. We have so many god loving patriots in this country, many who spend countless hours monitoring us, who don't have the testicular fortitude to display a true and sincere love of one's country.

THE ARMY, ARMY RESERVE AND THE NATIONAL GUARD ARE ALL ON PACE NOT TO MEETING RECRUITING GOALS THIS YEAR. THANKS CONSERVATIVES. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO FUCK UP IN OUR COUNTRY NEXT?

1. If there were true freedom of speech...
your last line in your post would be on the front page in BOLD LETTERS.

2. Gosh, if they just raise it another 11 years they can call me back!
I shouldn't say that, it is inevitable that they indeed will. Did someone say draft? "Greetings..."

3. For all the time the RWers monitor this forum, you'd think they'd enlist.

Republicans were the loudest proponents for pre-emptive war, but now that their country needs them they shirk away from their obligations. The most RWers do is troll around DU and post American flag .jpegs on their blog.

Liberals call for peace, justice and accountability; and they have been fighting like hell to get it. Between the rallies, the letter-writing campaigns, the volunteer time and money donated: Liberals are proving, once again, that they are the ideology of true patriotism.

Liberals have faced down police intimidation, death threats and stalking from Republicans. It is clear that Liberals are braver than conservatives.

4. I'll second that
Excellent Post brainshrub. I'm a 24 year Navy veteran near a small southern town full of flag waving cowards. They prove your point on a daily basis.
