Is John Robert's wife "Fair Game?"
I wouldn't suggest we stoop to the level of rove etc since that would be an incredible fall for patriotic liberals however the knuckledragging cowardly bush base have had no problem trashing Patriot Joe Wilson for telling the truth. The serpentine rove stated Wilson's wife is fair game, thus ending her career and jeopardizing the security of our country. He's still working in the white house today employed by the man who would bring honor back to the WH.

Jane Roberts is very much anti-choice and like a typical conservative would like to legislate away constitutional liberties that effect "other" law abiding tax paying citizens. Would pillow talk by little miss priss drive John up the steps of the Supreme Court and send our country backwards 32 years? I say yes. Mrs. Roberts is fair game. Conservatives have set the precedent.

1. Calling her names is not legitimate, but carefully examining her
record is.

I don't care what the repubs do; calling a person's spouse names and destroying her career/endangering her life are wrong. Mocking her looks is wrong.

But a marriage is a legal union. What she does cannot be completely separated from what he does.

20. Well said.
I heard (can't remember where) that they adopted their two children, so it is no surprise what side of the abortion issue she is on.

7. I agree
Her political and professional affiliations would give us some clues as to her views on certain issues...and those views are troublesome to me and I would like to know if he agrees with them.

3. I believe she is
The reason is we do not know too much about John Roberts. But we can tell alot about people by the company we keep. Mrs. Roberts is the closest company to John Roberts and I believe what she believes and her actions are a reflection on him and what he deems acceptable behavior and policies.

Regardless of who her spouse is, I'd call her fair game for that.

It isn't simply her views. She holds a prominent position, Executive Vice President, of an anti choice organization. She is an ACTIVIST.

and I think America has a right to know what Judge Frenchfry's wife is up to...and what sort of crackpot ideas her group is pushing...

What makes the attack on Valerie Plame disgraceful is that the attack by the White House significantly weakened national security by outing an undercover CIA agent AND her collegaues, as well as the "front" company that so much time, energy and taxpayer money went into creating.

Judge Frenchfry's wife is, as far as anybody knows, an executive at a non-profit which is required to give public disclosure. (Of course if it were a Republican "black op" of some sort, or in any way funded by taxpayers, that would be a different story for very different reasons.)

But the kids aren't.

And even when discussing her, I'd rather discuss her political involvement rather than something as petty and meaningless as the way she dresses or the way she dresses the kids. Who cares if she dresses the kid in saddle shoes?

16. Absolutely
We won't be taking away her career and her identity by exposing it to the public.

We don't have the luxury of making a mistake on this appointment. We need to KNOW what Roberts will do. That means examining the people he associates with, especially including his wife.

I'm sure she could give some valuable insights into how the attack machine was used against her.

Stop being so civil and polite while the neocons use all the tools available.
