"California Gov.Arnold Schwarzenegger's approval rating dropped to a new low even before a controversy developed about his hefty side income from fitness magazines, according to a poll released on Thursday. Only 34 percent of adult Californians approve..."

The title makes it appear that Reuters is practically gleeful at Ah-nolds loss of poll strength.
Do ya think?

Even less will be wanting to return to the days of Gray Davis.

Oh more baloney from Rooters. Arnold is trying to steer ship California from the brink of democrat-led diaster. Blame the Sacremento congress for repeatedly pushing the self-distruct button. Also, look who their citizens send to Washington to represent them. Nuff said...

Does anyone believe a poll that has any relations to do with the media?

Reply 6 - Posted by: Tarheel6504, 7/21/2005 10:58:31 AM

Kinda reminds me of the glee in the headlines saying President Bush is unpopular. Am only unable to find one or two people who say they dislike President Bush so wonder who these polls contact, more likely, Liberals who they know hate Bush. Same things may apply to Gov. Schwarzenegger. I have found in my seventy some years that most people do not like a politician that wants to do away with monies they consider they deserve. In reading about how the Mormons who believe in pologamy reap benefits for unwed mothers and children, it makes me know there is something wrong with a system who allows people who disobey the laws of our land to live off tax paying, law abiding citizens.

Like, a, maybe it is from a leftist source, and is, like, a Total Garbage, dude! (duh!)

The people of California have voted themselves a big liberal mess that may be unfixable. I say rope it off so they can't infect anybody else and leave it as a warning about what happens when leftists run things.

Too late to contain the insanity from California. Every bad policy it enacts from smoking bans to touchie feelie "education" methods makes its way sooner or later to the rest of the country.

Reuters? Are they still around?

Reply 12 - Posted by: heyboom, 7/21/2005 11:17:39 AM

I'm not giving up on this state yet. Gov. Schwarzenegger is stirring things up in Sacramento, hence the media push to undermine his leadership. I still believe he is doing great things.

And please people, realize that there ARE conservatives in this state.

Leftist mostly Kalifornia are looking for another Karl Marx or OJ Simpson to govern them?

This once lovely land is now a tumour on the throat of America.

Reply 19 - Posted by: Chance, 7/21/2005 1:36:36 PM

Well.........92% of americans believe in God.
82% believe in miracles.
Just a thought......

Dems could celebrate, except that their own approval numbers have gone negative.

Arnold is a disaster and some of us warned you he would be.

The only solution for Soviet Kalifornikstan is the "Atlas Shrugged" solution.

2. he is suggesting to eliminate state Pensions to balance the budgit....
my brother is really worried...

if they do that, all present employees and elected officials must also lose their pensions.. they can not continue to perpetrate a fraud that 'anyone' will ever get a pension.. except the elected politicians, you KNOW they will get their multi million dollar pensions.. with Full medical.

3. It will be interesting when people realize that 'celebrities' are basically
vacuous self absorbed jerks that can't even understand that those who do best surround themselves with a staff that knows how to get things done.

'Celebrities' like Streisand get beaten up by the RW all the time, but Streisand is an intelligent woman, (GOP nightmare there). Arnold is the quintessential 'celebrity', little talent, small cranial disposition, but is 'eye-candy'. Not the 'warmth of Reagan', but not as crass as Joan Rivers.

Celebrities get name recognition/auto exposure. There are many Californians that would make a fine Governor, but they are serious about the job, and they can't get a foot in the door.

While I despise 'celebrity status', it becomes worse tenfold, when these people are actually listened to as 'sages' and 'purveyors of wisdom'....:puke:
