What if?
I lurk here, more than post. so, I apologize in advance.

It struck me, as Bill Clinton used his presidential powers to erase all possible further criminal actions, that this is an incredibly powerful tool. It has been used by most modern presidents only at the end of theiir terms.

What if.

Libby
Rove
Wolfowitz
Cheney
Fleischer
Hughes

all of these people get a presidential pardon next week?

What would be the reaction with the currently emsaculated, castrated and myopic media? What would the Wall Street Journal say? Fauz news? Cnn? CBS or PBS?
What would Hannity or Limbaugh say?

1. At this point
it would be a mistake to take any such action. It would be tantamount to admitting they did something illegal. And I'm not sure a president can give a general pardon for something they've never even been charged with or indicted for yet, much less convicted.

It would be a serious case of shooting themselves in the foot.

2. that slightly quaint document called the Constitution
(damn. This is hard working this site. I still dont know how to edit or add stuff)

has absolutely no rules about when;where;who;why;how;where; and of course, for how much.
No supreme court has (or will) rule on any president's precedents.
All it takes is for some shrub to say this:

"as a matter of national security, given the increased dangers we have confirmed are awaiting us, I must have my best people with me to help me do my sworn doody. I therefore grant a presidential, precedencial Pardon to all of those who were brave, honest, and working for our best interests. As I am. For I am focused. I am focuseds on the problem. And the American people respect that and are happy knowing that I am."

It will happen. Sooner than later.

4. I don't understand this comment "Bill Clinton used his
presidential powers to erase all possible further criminal actions".

What are you referring to ?

5. many in the GOP went apeshit over the pardons he granted.
Especially the last minute ones.
They were referred to by the GOP goon squads as one example of how the Bushistas would clean up government and bring honor and trust back into the White House.

I apologize if I was unclear. (I often am)
