Are people in the CIA mad at Bush and the RNC over Plame?

I would think that people who had dedicated their lives to our national security by working for the CIA would feel betrayed by Bush and the RNC.

They have multiple reasons for feeling betrayed:

- the leak of Plame's identity

- the ongoing protection of Rove

- the personal and professional attacks on Joe Wilson and on Plame.

- the motive for the leak was to protect a lie that was propping up a political agenda (the Niger lie push us into war).

It seems like Bush thinks of CIA agents as disposable fodder to use and destroy in whatever way he sees fit. These are people who have a very high notion of personal sacrifice for their country, but I don't think it includes such callous use.

I just can't see how people who work for the CIA would not feel betrayed and bitter toward the President and the Republican Party, even if they are otherwise loyal Republicans.

3. They are so mad at what the WH did to Plame

and the breach of National Security that this caused that they are the ones that demanded that the DOJ launch and investigation into the leak. At least that is what Schummer said at the hearing today.

Bush blamed it all on them and Bush ignored the reports they put out which didnt support Bushs lies.

They are outraged that Bush is making the outing of an operative a partisan issue. They were highly critical of the RNC for their partisan spiel.

They testified that Bush/RNC through this issue is hurting our intelligence worldwide. That is sworn testimony.

vote for this man. I heard the one agent say he voted for * because he wanted someone who knew the meaning of the word "is". I'm equally angry at them because they saw * and the Rs as examples of moral rectitude and were willing to sell the nation short over a question about sex that should never have been asked. If Plame had not been outed in the way she was, would any of them be outraged now? I doubt it. I think the organization would have sat in the shadows and found ways to keep the funding coming while watching the people of the nation take their lumps.

Of course, with Goss and Negroponte purging the CIA en masse and the massive diversion of funding, there are some existential threats to whatever parts of the organization have any integrity. I've heard less about what's going on in the FBI apart from horror stories about political influence being used to quash investigations.

come out louder. I noticed in my paper, there was a small innocuous paragraph on it buried in the body of the paper. I can assure you the general public around here isn't even aware of the hearings that took place. It's no wonder some of the public doesn't think there is much to this investigation in some parts of the country. It's like living in an alternative universe and you come off looking like a wild conspiracy nut just trying to talk about it to people. Someone needs to step up and save this country now in a bold fashion or its gone, plain and simple.
