Bu$h Regime is being exposed
Another spot on quote from off the "internets".

Brewster Jennings and Associates was unknown to most of the world, but
soon this will be rectified. The outing of this most important CIA cover company;
perhaps the most important CIA operation ever, has done many times the damage
of outing a single agent.

The outing of Valerie Plame was not only for petty vengeance. It halted Brewster
Jennings investigation of the missing $9billion dollars from the Iraq war, the connection between 9/11 and the Saudi money, the proliferation of WMD's across
the globe, and the connection between the Saudi royal family's banker Khalid bin Mahfouz who bailed out George W.'s Harken Energy in 1987 with $25 million.
The same people who were in place for the Iran-Contra scandal, have been returned to power. That money was laundered through Aramco, the Saudi oil
company; as is suspected of the missing $9 billion.

Valerie Plame and Karl Rove are just the tip of the iceberg.

-----------------------

The dots are connecting up and the Bu$h Regime is being exposed for the filthy, special interest, elitists they really are.
The damage done with the CIA outing is treasonous beyond reproach yet the rightwing apologists are making up lies to try to provide cover for these criminals.
It appears their smear and fear tactics are not going to work this time.
Outing the Brewster Jennings front company was and remains a traitorous crime of the highest order that leaves our country more vulnerable.
For the first time in history our own government has outed a CIA agent and thus destroyed a crucial cog in the war on terror. Trust and security are needed by our agents from our government so intelligence work can be done safely. This trust has been violated.
The administration has angered the American people and the CIA and will soon pay the piper via Fitzgerald.

The truth about the lies leading to war, the theft of billions of tax dollars, and the needless waste of human lives will come out.
Hang on for the ride.

1. If this is true....
Then the whole Niger Yellowcake story was part of an elaborate ruse to get Plame and her front company exposed.

Why would Bush/Cheney send an outsider with integrity (Wilson) to validate the evidence which was a major reason for the causus belli? Why not send a lackey who would happily report that the evidence was solid?

Not sure where the source of this post is getting his informtion, but I suspect that some of it is absolutely true.

8. they made a mistake picking Wilson
Perhaps they thought he would be "safe", because he had worked with GHWB before. They might have presumed he would keep quiet.

Or maybe they didn't pick him, but the CIA did. A CIA that didn't want to take marching orders from the WH anymore and resented the Cheney visits, etc.

I always wondered just exactly why Tenet resigned.

20. In fact the CIA did pick him....
.... according to the CIA.

The CIA says its counter-proliferation officials selected Wilson and asked his wife to contact him.”

9. good point
I've wondered the same thing--why send Wilson when they knew he would come back with the truth. The whole thing has more twists and turns each day.

23. My reason - incompetence
Remember, this is a White House that vetted Bernie Kerik to be head of Homeland Security, a guy that ended up making John Gotti look like Mother Teresa, it seems. So, it could just be sheer incompetence. Poppy Bush had a lot of good things to say about Wilson previously, and I believe I recall Wilson saying he gave money to Bush in 2000. So, good word from Poppy & Bush donor in 2000 is enough vetting for them.

11. Didn't the forged Niger docs come from Italy...
...and wasn't Leeden connected somehow?

Suddenly, things are making a LOT more sense.

2. So what is the story Rove & Co are using to cover themselves?
I just got back from vacation, so I haven't had a chance to discuss this with my co-workers, who are (unfortunately) hard-core Bush backers. One might as well be paid by Bush, as he is, at times, a walking propaganda machine. At any rate, I'm just curious what the Right is saying to cover up this scandal? I saw a bumber sticker while I was on vacation that said, "No one died when Clinton lied". Seems even more fitting with the Karl Rove scandal.

I'm just looking for help refuting the claims when I return to work on Monday, as I'll no doubt get an earfull of unprompted defence of Rove.

5. The usual
Poke around on the internet.
There is a memo called "DC Talkers" I believe. It is the rightwing talking points which are filthy lies and out of context quotes.

Little help out there?

3. It's pretty clear to me that the exposure of Valerie Plame and associates
... was the PRIMARY objective of the "leak" and NOT merely a way of punishing Joe Wilson. The latter was just frosting on the cake, and a handy 'firewall' in concealing their primary motivation and interests. Far too many Bushoilini Cabal members and interests have benefited from the elimination of Brewster Jennings' as an investigative and intelligence asset for this to be merely coincidental.

13. So do we have a pissing contest here between the CIA and BushCo?
Sure sounds like that's what's going down.

Excuse me while I backpedal a few steps from all the toxic piddle associated with Bush and the Repubs.

15. The CIA isn't monolithic. It's compartmentalized and stratified.

Poppy Bush has his cells in there, still. When junior annointed a partisan hack as Intel Czar, it was an attack on the CIA. (The "C" stands for "Central.")

22. Yes!
The whole idea that the Bush administration committed treason because they were just so darn PISSED OFF about an Op-Ed in the New York Times just doesn't scan. There have been hundreds of devastating anti-Bush op-eds, not only in the NYT but all over the place, and this one they decide to "punish?" Doesn't make sense to me...

Op-Eds really only influence people who read. Moreover, op-eds running counter to the administration, no matter how well-reasoned, can easily be dismissed by the Bushbots as partisan hackery or whatever. If an Op-Ed could do any real damage, the last couple years of Krugman and Rich alone would have brought this administration down in flames.

I agree with you - Brewster Jennings was getting too close to the cabal.

4. Thanks for the info and let us not forget
bush's base in all this mess. They are responsible and should be told so. They waved the flags (while not enlisting). The conservative scum who voted for bush and shouted down any dissent are as much responsible for this demise as bush and company, for without the scum at free republic and other klavern filled sites, we would not be chatting on a Saturday morning about the evils of a horrible administration, no doubt the worst ever. And that administration has been brought to us by the religiously insane who obviously have no appreciation for the constitution.

7. This is dynamite. But what is the author's source
Edited on Sat Jul-23-05 11:54 AM by snot
for the statement that the leak halted "Brewster Jennings investigation of the missing $9billion dollars from the Iraq war, the connection between 9/11 and the Saudi money, the proliferation of WMD's across the globe, and the connection between the Saudi royal family's banker Khalid bin Mahfouz who bailed out George W.'s Harken Energy in 1987 with $25 million. That money was laundered through Aramco, the Saudi oil company; as is suspected of the missing $9 billion."

If this is merely speculation, however logical, it would be helpful if the author would make that clear; if not, it would be helpful if the author would indicate authority.

10. I had not seen this before.
Is that what Brewster Jennings was doing? Wow!!! This ties it up in a nice little bundle if true. It gives us a better motive than juniors hate of Joe Wilson.

Just WOW!!!!

17. not really
ARAMCO, AIPAC, AEI, Gladio, etc. aren't getting much more exposure than being named and possibly connected to each other. The nature of the ongoing relations, specific activities, and so on aren't really getting much of anywhere, and will probably be covered up as state secrets in perpetuity (like the Kennedy assassination).
