Supreme Court nominee Roberts' lawyer wife facilitates global satellite system projects and her firm is targeting Iraq reconstruction:

July 21, 2005—Yet another first for our boundary-breaching White House: for the first time in American history, we're going to have a justice on the high court whose spouse facilitates financing and putting together global satellite systems.

Also, the firm in which she is a partner, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, emphasizes among other things its expertise in facilitating business in Iraq:

Lawyers rotate between big firms and the government. While in the bit firms, they facilitate. They offer one-stop service. That's how the system works. It's like a revolving door. On one side are the government agencies and offices and on the other are the big law firms. Welcome to the real world. It's nice work if you can get it.

Uuummmm, I hate to burst your *bubble* but what the hell is the beef? Hhhhmmmmm? Merely because a wife of a (potential) sitting U.S. Supreme Court associate justice is a lawyer -- a partner -- in a high-powered D.C. law firm is supposed to do what? and to whom?

In all seriousness, if Roberts gets seated on the U.S. Supreme Court bench, then any case that involves his wife, he should recuse himself, period. Again, what the hell is the beef?
