Another Republican piece of malarkey.... |

Some lady called into C-SPAN this AM and was complaining about what a mess Clinton left the military. Any sane person would have to admit that the military is in worse shape today than when Bush came into office. The military is in worse shape today than when it went into Afghanistan, for example. Why? It's because of George W Bush - not William J Clinton.

and even though its bunk, it's the dems achilles heel. The bad thing is too many dems think taking the repub positions in these matters is the answer to not be seen as weak on defense.

It didn't help however that the Deaniac before her was breathlessly loosing her grip. I think point by point comparing Bush to Clinton is a losing proposition for any GOPer.

3. Clinton Good. Clinton Bad. Clinton Good. Clinton Bad |

I thought the latest rational for the Iraq invasion was that Clinton supported "regime change."

4. Gee, Clinton's military sure did fine in Afghanistan didn't they? |
|
Well except for the fact that the Bush appointed strategists didn't plan for shit, but the soldiers did mighty well.

The military that crushed the Iraqis so easily was developed during Clinton's administration. It had not been changed before the invasion. The disheartened military of today is the result of the disasterous policies of the shrub. It's hard to see how any honest person could state otherwise.

7. Yeah, and the military loves Bush so much that they just can't wait |
|
to get out.
Except that the W administration is making them stay.
I guess that all those "good" soldiers left when Clinton took office (remember? they were protesting "don't ask, don't tell"), and came back after Bush took office.
I guess that's why the US has lost more miliatry lives in Bush's illegal war than all of the military conflicts combined under Clinton.
These people can't keep their lies straight.
