They have Peter DeFazio down as a Democrat. The speech he just gave talking about NAFTA and Clinton's trade policy on the whole is disturbing.

Ohio had a Congressman who got defeated in the Dem primary largely because he voted for NAFTA (Tom Sawyer). In all fairness, he was "redistricted".

7. Being a Democrat does not require worship of Clinton

I didn't hear the speech that DeFazio gave, but when I lived in Oregon, DeFazio was adamantly opposed to NAFTA.

And I'm delighted. DeFazio is the type of Democrat that we need more of. He fights for ordinary people, for civil rights, and the Constitution, and to top it off, he's friendly and approachable. Better yet, he wins again and again in areas that vote Republican for president.

Clinton was too wimpy against the Republicans and adopted too many of their policies.

I feel sorry for people who are so young that they think Cinton is as good as it gets. I'd rather have him than the Bushboy, but that ain't sayin' much.

...they are telling the world that the Democratic agenda is not worth following. That is why Clinton troubled me with his stands on (un)free trade, guns, and the death penalty. I got that from Chapter 1 of George Lakoff's "Moral Politics".

apologize for offending Republicans. They should apologize only when they got their facts wrong. If their facts are correct, then the attitude should be, "If the shoe fits, wear it."
