And what did Scotty say back then? Wasn't it something about how Karl was not involved and, if any members of the administration were involved, they'd be fired?

But you have to remember Scott is lying and making up these rules/excuses as he goes along. I doubt that ANYONE told ANYONE in this administration not to discuss anything to do with the ongoing investigation. It's just a convenient line to try to get out of answering questions.
