I understand that Hackett did not participate in combat at all.
Did Jean Schmidt serve in Iraq? Just asking!
It is still dangerous over there as I can personally attest.
We must assume you were there, then, if you can 'personally attest' to how dangerous it still is 'over there'. Seems you agree with Hackett, so what's the problem? Mind telling us, btw, were you in combat? Again, just asking!
Let’s just not act as though we led marines in combat if we did not, okay…
Let's ask the CIC not to act as though he is some kind of war hero, and that the 'Mission was Accomplished' when he was not, and it was not, okay?
I have asked the question time and again, what role did he actually play?
Consider yourself lucky, we've been asking a similar question for ten years now, 'what role the CIC actually played in TANG considering he was AWOL for 17 months and no one even asked him to put himself in harm's way'! Still no answer! Frustrating, isn't it?
Oh, and if Hackett just went to Iraq to view the scenery, that makes him more of a hero than our CIC, don't you agree?
Given all the opportunities he has had to say “I served in combat” one fair conclusion is that he did not.
Given that logic, one fair conclusion is that George Bush was AWOL.
Every time they attack a veteran, remind of the AWOL status of their hero, George Bush! Like Pavlov's dog, after a while they will learn to anticipate the reminder in response to such attacks and at least cringe a little as they spew their vile talking points.
Once we have them trained to expect to hear 'Bush/AWOL' as soon as they attack a liberal vet, they may avoid pushing the button that elicits the reminder? Who knows, but it's fun reminding them of the AWOL status of their 'super-hero' anyway!
