They are totally corrupted by power - and every "corrupted-by-power" regime in history has had a very hard fall. The conservative leadership clearly hates America, at least the America most of us live in, including those low-income Red Staters they've duped into voting for them by opposing civil rights, gay rights, abortion rights etc etc.
