http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/07/26/AR2005072601171.htmlSo, Alberto Gonzales, torture's best friend, is suddenly interested in reviewing the FOIA. Gosh, I wonder why! Could it be that Gonzales is uncomfortable with Americans seeing the results of his effort to greenlight torture and abuse?
Anyone can see what Gonzales, acting for the Bush administration, is trying to do. What is most alarming is the fact that Gonzales is comfortable enough to be obvious about his plans to essentially defang one of the few tools we Americans have to hold government accountable.
What is also alarming is the fact that the AP is too stupid, or unwilling, to ask Gonzales if his interest in the FOIA was brought on by ACLU attempts to release the remaining torture photos and videos from Abu Ghraib prison.
If this stuff doesn't make your blood boil, you don't have a pulse.
