2. I expect them to vote for it (no conscience)...my Rep included
I agree, this was a Republican bill so, with the exception of a handful of Republicans, it was expected. But why, oh why, would the 14 Dems vote for this.

BTW, I'm a long time poster here, and I believe we have a common enemy: The theocratic neocons (who currently reside in the WH and Congress). Sorry if my title annoyed you.

9. Taylor
Taylor is a rethug in Democrat clothing.

He is pro life, pro gun, anti-welfare, pro military industrial might, etc...

He is the one who said he was gonna vote for Bush in 2000 if it went into the House. :banghead:

3. When the GOPorkers vote against the public interest...
it's business as usual. When Democrats do so, it's betrayal.

5. Expect to see that name Cuellar on such lists a lot
Unless we can beat him. The speculation when he won was that he was going to switch parties.

15. Each time something like this happens
Get a list of the Dems that voted for it and get them out of office in 2006. The faster, the better. We need our nation back.

16. Yeah, but their replacement Democrats
have to stand a good chance of defeating their Republican opponents. As much as I'm pi$$ed off at these Benedict Arnold Democrats, we can't lose their seats.

17. CRAP. American Diabetes Assoc. on the bill; which is killer for those
affected by chronic ilnesses.

There is a bill in the House, HR 2355, that would
allow insurance companies currently doing business under the
laws of the 46 states that are required to cover diabetes needs to
also set up shop in the 4 that don't. These companies
will then be permitted to follow those states' laws regarding the
sale of individual health insurance policies -- policies that do not
cover diabetes. This bill, entitled the Health Care Choice
Act, effectively permits those insurers to switch the
rules for themselves with a small administrative change.
But the change for all people with diabetes who have individual
health insurance policies could potentially be huge and we must
stop it.

Sponsors of this legislation say it will help cover more
Americans. But we wonder: what good is health insurance if it
doesn't cover the things you need to live? Please contact your
Representative and urge him or her to oppose HR 2355. Remind
your Representative that people with diabetes need access to
affordable and adequate health care, the kind they currently have
under 46 states' laws!

18. This is horrible legislation. It puts at severe risk my coverage, as
a diabetic, for my insulin pump, my glucose monitor and the strips used in it.

Some of the best treatment available for diabetes is at hideous risk due to this bill.

But of course, they have tremendously good coverage, so why should they care?

19. I'm not too bothered by the Dems who voted 'yes' on this
except for those who also voted for CAFTA (like Cuellar). The reason I'm not angry at the Dem votes here is because they didn't decide the final tally. Too many Repub votes to make a difference.
